In this final installment of the review  of the draft Employment Act (Amendment) Bill, 2019 published by the Kenya Law Reform Commission, William Maema (Senior Partner)  focuses on the gaps in the current law which should have been addressed in the draft Bill.  

 In an article published in the Business Daily on 5th August, 2019, William proposes inclusion of clear provisions on  issues such the redundancy process, performance improvement plan, retirement in the private sector, legitimate expectation for renewal of fixed term contracts, computation of the daily rate, among other issues that are currently governed by inconsistent judicial interpretations. Click here to access the article.
